Shudder is increasing upon their critically acclaimed 2019 documentary Horror Noire: A Historical past of Black Horror with an unique anthology film that may showcase tales of Black horror from Black administrators and screenwriters. Showcasing tales of Black horror from Black administrators and screenwriters, Horror Noire options six tales introduced collectively as a two-hour movie starring Lesley-Ann Brandt (Lucifer, Spartacus), Luke James (The Chi, Ideas of a Coloured Man), Erica Ash (Survivor’s Regret, A Black Woman Sketch Present), Brandon Mychal Smith (4 Weddings and a Funeral, You’re the Worst), Sean Patrick Thomas (Macbeth, The Curse of La Llorona), Peter Stormare (American Gods, Fargo), Malcolm Barrett (Genius: Aretha Franklin, Timeless), Tony Todd (Candyman, Evening of the Residing Lifeless), and Rachel True (The Craft, Half & Half), amongst others.

The brand new and tailored tales are written by husband-and-wife writing duo Tananarive Due (My Soul to Maintain, Horror Noire: A Historical past of Black Horror) and Steven Barnes (Lion’s Blood), Ezra Claytan Daniels (BTTM FDRS), Victor LaValle (The Ballad of Black Tom, The Changeling,) Shernold Edwards (All Rise, Anne with an E); and, Al Letson (Reveals).

The six tales featured within the anthology are: “Daddy,” “Bride Earlier than You,” “Model of Evil,” “The Lake,” “Sunset” and “Fugue State.”

Horror Noire is produced by Swirl Movies, and Government Producers embrace ID8 Multimedia’s Shelby Stone and Derek Dudley, along with Eric Tomosunas, founding father of Swirl Movies and Ron RobinsonDr. Robin R. Means Coleman, writer of the groundbreaking e-book Horror Noire: Blacks in American Horror Movies from the Nineties to Current, is consulting on the anthology, in addition to Horror Noire: A Historical past of Black Horror documentary producers Ashlee Blackwell, Phil Nobile Jr. and Kelly Ryan.
