The true story of the Boston Strangler will come to the display in an upcoming function being produced by Ridley Scott for twentieth Century Studios, with Keira Knightley set to star.
Matt Ruskin (“Crown Heights”) will write and direct the film, and THR studies immediately that David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad, Dune) is the most recent actor to come back on board.
THR notes, “Dastmalchian is becoming a member of the solid in what’s described as a pivotal, undisclosed function.”
Carrie Coon, Chris Cooper, and Alessandro Nivola may also star.
Deadline particulars, “Based mostly on the notorious Boston Strangler murders, that is the true story of Loretta McLaughlin (Knightley), the primary reporter to attach the murders and break the story of the Strangler. She and fellow reporter Jean Cole challenged the sexism of the early Sixties to report on the town’s most infamous serial killer and labored tirelessly to maintain ladies knowledgeable.”
Filming is anticipated to start in Boston within the coming weeks.
